One Rainy Weekend

This was a very rainy weekend here in Sydney. In fact, it really reminded of the weather back in Ireland. It was the perfect weekend for snuggling up on the couch and watching black and white movies which is exactly what we did on Saturday.
On Sunday though it was time to brave the rain and get out there. My very good friend B was coming over to check out our new house. I had planned to make a little something for brunch but my lack of movement from the couch on Saturday meant I didn’t have the necessary ingredients.
So what better excuse then this to dash out between showers and pick up some excellent Danish pastries from Le Petit Tarte in Glebe. This bakery has a great selection of cakes and pastries and I have yet to be disappointed by a purchase. They also do one of the best coffees in Sydney. The Danishes were huge and the ones pictured above were only half of what I bought for four of us. But, no fear, we did manage to devour the remainder later in the day. The rest of Sunday was spent having numerous cups of tea and coffee with treats as S and I met up with a few different friends. What else do you do on a rainy day?
