Potential fruit desserts

The bubble bread went down a treat but if I am completely honest I probably ate most of it myself. I’m a fiend when it comes to bread and if you throw in a sprinkle of cinnamon I have no hope. The fact that you could just pull off a little bread bubble meant it was easy to pick at. I heated it up and we had it with butter and home made jam (made by our host).

I had all sorts of plans for fruit while I was at their place. There was the start of many a fruit on the trees. I’ll have to pay another visit when all their fruit trees are bearing fruit which is ready to eat. I’m already thinking of apple and rhubarb crumble, strawberry tarts, peaches and cream and poached pears.

We did get a chance to enjoy some of their fresh strawberries and they were delicious. You just can’t compare the massive tasteless strawberries you get in the supermarkets with these little juicy gems.

There wasn’t much cooking done this weekend. I did suggest a goat stew but this old fella didn’t look too pleased. Thank god the toe nail cutting was a joke because some of the goats looked like they would give you a right dig with their horns if you even dreamt of cutting their toenails.

We had a lovely time "on the farm"and I can’t wait to go back again to make use of all that fruit. Any excuse for another visit to Camden.
