A Healthy New Start to the year

One of my favorite breakfast cereals is Alpen. Back in Ireland you can buy this in most supermarkets. In Sydney it's like gold dust. Even when I do find somewhere that sells Alpen they usually sell out very fast and you have to keep going back to see if they have got a new shipment in. Recently I enjoyed the last of my current stock and I haven't been able to buy any more so I decided it was time to make some tasty breakfast cereal for myself.
It is the start of a new year and with that comes oh so many good intentions. I think most people call them resolutions but I am being realistic by calling them intentions. Of course the good old Eating Healthy comes high on the list. So I got out all my jars of wheatgerm, oats, linseed, nuts, coconut etc and I looked up a basic recipe for granola. I found a recipe that did the trick. Of course I added my own little extras but this one worked a treat. It's not as good as Alpen but it will definitely suffice until I get my hands on that elusive cereal.
I know I wrote about Granola here before but this one is way better. I served it with Greek yogurt and stewed rhubarb.
